Happy New Year! As we all bask in the glory of the inauguration of our new President Joseph R. Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, I've recently gotten a huge shock. An hour ago, I went onto Syfy wire, and found an article about Craig McCracken, the creator of the Powerpuff Girls 1998 original series speaking about the still-in-development live action Powerpuff Girls reboot at the CW. Although we already know that he is not involved in the live action reboot in any way at all- and he said it himself, he said that he is curious about what they will do with it. He also said that the initial concept of the original series let alone the franchise was the idea that they're 3 little girls being superheroes, so the fact that they're making them grow up sort of changes the concept- which has been knocking in my head since the live action PPG reboot was announced- but he said we'll see what they do with it. I hate to keep troubling you about this, but it's another update, and I'm even more afraid than ever.
Although I understand that on October 1, 2020 Genndy Tartakovsky said that it could happen, but questions that it will, and month later that EG Daily, 1998 Buttercup's voice actor said that the reboot has her blessing, along with a picture of the 1998 PPG talking about the live-action reboot from DeviantArt and now McCracken says he is curious about it and what they will do with it, everyone's forgetting that it's still in development and it hasn't been green-lit yet. I know no live action series can replace a cartoon original, but as of two hours ago because of what I've read I'm worried that if the live PPG reboot gets picked up of a series, this is what fans here and everywhere else on the Internet will say if I tell them how scared I am:
"See, there is no point of hoping that the live-action Powerpuff Girls reboot- which we think is a really a sequel to the original animated series- might end up not happening mid way through development like JBOOK17 of the Spanish Wikipedia said on August 27, 2020."
" And even if the live-action reboot gets scrapped because Cartoon Network had decided to make a fourth season of the 2016 PPG reboot we still won't care."
"And we don't care if Jeff Harris,Television historian and network consultant said it could all fall apart between now and then on Quora.com, and that JohhnyJay of Cancelled Sci.com says that he although he appreciates the CW new shows and that there's talent behind the live-action PPG reboot, it wil almost certainly get squashed by the network machine, and count this as a bad idea."
"And we don't even care if the PPG live-action reboot is a live-action reimagining of the original series with an alternate continuity separate from the original show or if it is a sequel. Once the live-action show goes to series, all OC x cannon ships between the 1998 PPG and other Powerpuff OC's on Deviantart will become null and void and that the Powerpuff Girls' 5 year-old cartoon versions be it the 1998 or 2016 versions won't ever appear in future media no more, because the Powerpuff Girls- and we mean the original 1998 Powerpuff Girls will no longer be the cute, adorable, sweet, loveable, beautiful, chirpy, and friendly, yet rough and tough, oval-shaped headed, abnormally large Margaret Keane-inspired eyed, stubby arms and legs and flat feet having, and noses, ears, fingers, toes and necks lacking, 5-year-old, kindergarten cartoon superheroes we know and love anymore, because they're now live-action disillusioned twenty-somethings now and forever until the end of time and the franchise's initial concept of the PPG being five-year-old girls with superpowers and the tagline "Saving the World Before Bedtime" will both be things of the past now and forever until the end of time, all OC x cannon ships between the 1998 PPG So you'd better get used to it, 'cause it's a change all of us PPG fans in the United States of America and around the world- that includes you Zoren Pierce aka Jacksonone, even Genndy Tartakovsky, and PPG Craig McCracken, and the 1998 PPG's original voice actors will be living with for the rest of our lives."
Again forgive me for telling you this, but I am so gosh-darn scared because I don't want all this to cause me to leave the PPG fandom especially the 1998 PPG fandom (and to a lesser extent the 2016 PPG fandom) forever.
P.S. I don't want anyone to know about what I've seen on Syfy wire. I wish I could pass it on to other users I trust on this wiki, but someone will think I'm spamming and that my PPG anxiety disorders are just a crock.
