The Powerpuff Girls is an American animated superhero action television series developed by Craig McCracken. It is both a reboot and a sequel series of the Cartoon Network series of the same name created by McCracken. It follows Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup, now high school teenagers who still have their superpowers, but are still living in the city of Townsville who are frequently called upon by the townsfolk to protect its residents from evil. The girls were created in a lab by the scientist Professor Utonium, who sought to create the perfect little girls by using sugar, spice, and everything nice along with the accidental addition of the ingredient Chemical X, the source of the girls' superpowers.
It premiered on January 15, 2024. It gained positive reviews by critics, the episodes, the synopsis, the voice cast, the animation, the character designs, and the continuity to the original series.

Trivia[]
- On January 27, 2021, the show is developed by Craig McCracken as "a sequel series to the famous 1998-2005 series that focuses on the Powerpuff Girls' life as crime-fighting teenagers", saying that the 2016 reboot is just a "dumb animated sitcom" with lots of slapstick, new voice actresses for the Powerpuff Girls, the changing of the Powerpuff Hotline, the characters' personalities differences, the small role of the Narrator, and a few crime-fighting episodes, revealing that it is non-canon to the show, meaning no content (most likely characters, voice actors, writers, etc) from it will ever be used in the reboot. McCracken also announces that the voice cast from the original series will reprise their roles in the reboot.
- This show serves as a sequel to the 1998 show, as, according to Craig McCracken in a promotion interview to the reboot, it takes place nine years after the events of The Powerpuff Girls: Dance Pantsed and 10 years after the events of The Powerpuff Girls Rule!!!, in which the girls are now teenagers and are attending high school, but still have their superpowers and all of the villains are still plotting to kill the girls and take over the world.
- Tom Kane announces his retirement in 2022, making the producers worried that he won't reprise his roles in the show as Professor Utonium, HIM, and Talking Dog in the second reboot. In June 23, 2023 (the month before the pilot episode's recording starts, Craig McCracken reveals on Twitter that Kane is being replaced by two voice actors (Tom Kenny voices Professor Utonium and the Talking Dog, while Fred Tatasciore voices HIM). Kenny voices Utonium and the Talking Dog by making them sound like Rabbit (from Winnie the Pooh (2011)) and SpongeBob SquarePants, respectively. Tatasciore voices HIM, making him sound like Knuckles the Echidna (from Sonic Drone Home), but with a echo tone.
