Powerpuff Girls Wiki

Hello PPG wiki! CITRONtanker here, with my first blog on this wiki. Today, I will talk about my history and thoughts on The Powerpuff Girls, including my thoughts on the heavily panned reboot. Keep in mind that this is my personal opinion, and if you feel different, that's totally fine. So, in the words of Buttercup, it's time to heat things up! Part 1: The dawn of the Powerpuff Girls. As a kid, I only recall simple memories of the PPG show. It was definetly something different, and after revisiting it, I realize exactly how impactful it really is. Appealing to kids as well as adults, this cartoon was a dream come true- something we all could enjoy. From Humble beginnings, this show evolved overtime, and never failed to put a smile on my face and always had. me laughing heartily. Some of my favorited episodes were What's The Big Idea, Child Fearings, and the episode when the Girls don't study for a test, and Him learns their greatest fears (I forgot what it's called). I loved the villians, the narrator, and the Girls (especially Buttercup). But then. I hit the twilight zone- I thought this show could do no wrong, and seasons 5 and 6 gave me a slap in the face. They were not awful, but heavens were they bland. After Powerpuff Girls Rule, the fate of our heroes hanged in doubt... Part 2: Reboot, anime, and cringing. The less I have to talk about Powerpuff Girls Z, the better. Why did they do that? I felt like I was watching some bizzare hellsporn combination of One Punch Man and Sailor Moon mixed together in a blender! And then, eight years after the original show ended, CN announced that the Powerpuff Girls would finnaly return. I was super excited as were many others. We expected a by the numbers reboot of the original shoe, but here's what I saw. New voice actors translate to panic- early footage translated to panic. See what I'm talking about? Before I rant about the reboot, ask yourself this- would Steven Universe be taken of the air for several years, and then be stripped of its story? Removed of action and just show Stevens personal life? Do you think that would happen to such a beloved cartoon. Because I thought similar treatment to The Powerpuff Girls was impossible. But alas, here we are. The Girls have new voice actors to back up their new personalities, and all but Buttercup have been completlely butchered. Blossom is a neat freak, and Bubbles is even worse. Part 2 conclusion and Part 3 coming soon...
