Plot[]

A prehistoric caveman is unfrozen from the museum, and since seeds were the economy in Stone Age times, he steals the Mayor's seeds everywhere he goes.

Synopsis[]

The prehistoric caveman is seen scratching his back with a prehistoric tree. And then The Cavemen Mayor is seen walking to the cavewomen to buy something to eat. The cavemen sees the Cavemen Mayor walking away with his money. So he and his Mastodon try to take it. The Cavemen Mayor is confused on where the shaking is coming from and then turns to see what it was only for his money to be taken. He then calls out to The Prehistoric Puff Girls for help, and they go beat up the cavemen. The cavemen realized that he has a stronger weapon and knocks the Prehistoric Puff Girls off of his Mastodon. While laughing at the girls, he starts to notice that he is going off a cliff. He and his Mastodon falls off the cliff and into deep freezing cold water. It then transitions into modern times showing the students of Pokey Oaks kindergarten at the museum.

The man at the museum explains that the caveman and his Mastodon has been frozen for over 10,000 years, and seeds were a prehistoric form of money. The Powerpuff Girls assume that he was a criminal. The man says that he was write and that the caveman was the world's first criminal and was frozen in a lake centuries ago. Saying that he was probably on a lam. Bubbles misheard that as lamb and corrected him. They then move on to the next thing. It transitions to the museum closed for tonight, with the security guard wandering around. He starts getting cold and looks for a thermostat. He shuts off the thermostat and the ice holding the caveman and the Mastodon begins to melt. The caveman looks around, wondering where he is. He looks down and sees the bag with seeds in it. He picks it back up and him and his Mastodon leave the museum. The security guard then realizes he made a mistake.

The next day, The Mayor and Ms. Bellum are at the grocery store buying seeds. Ms. Bellum wonders if The Mayor still likes pickles, with him saying that sunflower seeds are the new pickles, and he has to have his daily seeds. The store starts shaking and the Mastodon breaks in. The caveman looks at the seeds The Mayor is holding and takes them, still thinking that seeds are still a currency. The mayor is disappointed about his seeds being taken. It transitions into Pokey Oaks Kindergarten, showing all of the children coloring. The phone rings and Blossom goes and answers it. The mayor says it is an emergency and that his sunflower seeds were stolen. Blossom asked the same question about The Mayor liking pickles, and The Mayor says sunflower seeds are the new pickles. Blossom doesn't see what the big deal is about his stolen seeds and tells him to buy new ones, and the mayor agrees.

The Mayor is seen eating the new seeds he brought. It starts shaking again along with the Mastodon heading towards The Mayor. The caveman takes the mayors new seeds. It cuts to Blossom on the phone with the mayor about his seeds again. Blossom gets aggravated and tells the mayor to call them about anything but seeds. It shows the Mayor at the Townsville office. He closes the curtains and shows that he has a secret seed stash, believing he will be free from people taking his seeds. The caveman and Mastodon breaks in the office and takes the mayors seeds for the third time. The mayor gets disappointed and cannot stand his seeds being taken. The mayor notices he has a seed on the floor. He says he will keep the seed safe and prevent people from taking it. Ms. Bellum walks in checking on the mayor, but the mayor blocks the door not letting her in, believing she will take his seed. The mayor sneaks out of the window using a curtain, but the curtain rips and the mayors falls into a bush. He comes out of the bush looking like a caveman.

The mayor wonders around Townsville, and he notices an elephant, but it was just the elephant from the Republican party. And he notices a caveman, but it was just a caveman from a billboard. The mayor states that he has been making himself cuckoo and going crazy. He hears the Mastodon, hides his seeds, and then runs. He runs into trashcans, and as he hears the Mastodon, he runs again. It cuts to Pokey Oaks Kindergarten, with Ms. Keane teaching the class. The mayor busts the door open and runs to The Powerpuff Girls. The Girls ask what happened, but the mayor couldn't say anything because of the caveman breaking in.

Seeing this, Buttercup quickly asks the mayor if that is the seed thief that has been chasing him all day. Blossom remarks he could've mentioned the caveman and mastodon when he called them before. Hearing that, the mayor foolishly realizes his mistake at not realizing that part was important.

The mayor, along with the kindergarteners and Ms. Keane runs away from it. Meanwhile the Girls wonder why the caveman wants the seeds, and Ms. Keane interrupts them by telling them to stop the caveman and Mastodon. The Girls stops them by doing Operation 1-2-Ahchoo, with Blossom freezing the caveman and the Mastodon. The mayor thanks the girls for stopping the caveman. Blossom states that the mayor can finally eat his seeds again. But then the mayor starts switching back to pickle. The episode then ends here.

Cultural References[]

  • The tour guide tells the students that he's going to show them how cavemen used woolly mammoths as dishwashers and pterodactyls as record players. This is a reference to the Hanna-Barbera cartoon, The Flintstones, and how cavemen used these creatures for those exact purposes.
