Season 3 is the third and final season of The Powerpuff Girls (2016 TV series). It began airing on April 8, 2018 with “Never Been Blissed,” and ended on June 16, 2019 with “Sideline Dad,” marking the end of the series after 3 seasons, 119 episodes, and after airing for 3 years.
"Aliver" is a competition reality show to find the world's greatest superhero. The girls are contestants, but so is Princess Morbucks, who hedges her bets during this competition.
Mojo Jojo ambushes the girls, trapping them in his lair and robbing them of the essences that make them "great" — Blossom's intelligence, Bubbles' charm, and Buttercup's brawn.
The girls appear on a TV show called "Townsville Tonight" where they single out Princess Morbucks as a villain. Incensed that they think that, Princess writes a rap song that has the city mesmorized into liking her and turning against the girls.
Ms. Keane is nervous about her first date with someone. The girls assure her that she's fine just the way she is. On the way to her date, Ms. Keane is drenched with defective toxic waste from Mojo Jojo's truck which causes her to grow to a monster-size
Buttercup starts a day off feeling as great as ever. But the next day she finds herself off-kilter. At first she thinks she's having an off-day...until she finds out that someone's responsible for it.
The Mayor holds a race for a mysterious chest that he found and all of Townsville's villains join in to win it. The Powerpuff Girls likewise enter to keep them from doing so, but naturally things escalate quickly.
The girls are invited by the Derbytantes to a meeting of Deathball teams for a special announcement. However when the leader of the Deathball association is hit by a ball, both the girls and the Derbytantes are blamed and they have to make their way to safety through the city while avoiding the other Deathball teams looking for retribution.
The girls and Mojo are exposed to a dangerous chemical and the professor locks them in a lonely room, while he tries to find out if they are infected or not.
After talking to Bliss, who's still out in space, Buttercup claims she could likewise go into space to help fight aliens. Blossom claims otherwise and the two get into a bet on if Buttercup can do so. However, Buttercup's departure comes at a bad time when Pug Faced Pauly decides to use the Utonium household to lay low from the cops.
A villain named the Salamander kidnaps the Professor and takes him to his lair to build a giant magnifying glass with which to burn the earth. Because Blossom begrudgingly made a promise, Bubbles leads the team to save the Professor.
After defeating Mojo, Fuzzy, The Amoeba Boys, Pug-Faced Paulie and The Gnat for the umpteenth time, The Powerpuff Girls are confident they are unstoppable.
The girls must enter a cursed jungle temple to obtain the last Heart Stone. Meanwhile, when Bubbles gets separated from her sisters, she tries to act more like them to face her fear of being alone.
On Halloween, Princess Morbucks is whipping up a potion that would give her beauty, power, and riches. The Powerpuff Girls and Mojo Jojo intervene and spills the potion over everyone, and Princess, Mojo and the girls transform.
It's Christmas again and the girls are all set to give the Professor a mug sporting "World's #1 Dad". But during an argument between Blossom and Buttercup and Bubbles about if Santa is real, they end up breaking it in their scuffle. Now the three have to rush to get a replacement, not helped by the fact that some of their villains keep getting in their way.
The girls visit a golden train on a field trip and set to eat lunch, but realize that the Professor refused to pack them anything sweet and Mojo Jojo disguises himself as an ice cream vendor and gives them free ice cream, which then causes instant headaches and is also extremely addictive.
It's Townstopia day in Townsville and Bliss has taken time off from her space duties to join the festivities and show off her device that she calls Bugley, which can make anything a person asks for. However, they soon turn out to be for wicked purposes.
After saving Barry from a monster, the girls encourage him to be a hero (in the figurative sense) when he expresses his desire to be something more. So Barry decides to become a superhero despite having no powers. The girls play along to boost his confidence, but Barry's "heroics" soon go to his head.
A giant spoon crashes in the middle of Townsville without explanation. When the girls investigate, Bubbles suggests it to be the work of aliens which the citizens believe. Soon it doesn't take long for a cult to form around the spoon...with Bubbles as the leader of such. Thus Blossom sets out to try to resolve the situations.
A cat burglar has been pulling a string of heists through Townsville, forcing the girls to try and stop them. However, Buttercup mysteriously keeps disappearing when the girls confront the burglar, leading Blossom and Bubbles to suspect her.
The Professor invents a new hat that allows him to speed up, stop or slow down objects or people for a science fair and he forbids the girls from taking it out of the house, but Buttercup disobeys and shows it off at the park, where Ace gets interested, So he challenges her to a game of "Horse" to get it.
The Professor befriends a group of scientists calling themselves the Beaker Boys who claim they do "mad science". However the boys don't seem like very nice people which concern the girls that he may have fallen in with a bad crowd.
While at home reading one day, Blossom suddenly finds herself attacked by HIM who claims he came to collect on a deal he made with Bubbles and Buttercup who sold her soul for a dollar they needed to buy a bobsled. He takes Blossom to his home, the Dimension of Chaos. But suddenly finds out that having Blossom as his captive might be more then he bargained.
Blossom and the Professor head out to compete in a science fair, leaving Bubbles and Buttercup by themselves, Buttercup naturally keeps trying to ditch Bubbles as she finds her annoying. However, a lab accident involving chemicals that Blossom was preparing results in Bubbles being fused to Buttercup in the form of a tail-like appendage.
A new superhero arrives in town calling himself BrainLord who apparently lost his planet and wants to set up shop in Townsville. The girls are more then receptive to the idea, but are unaware that it's really Mojo Jojo in disguise who seeks to get into the Professor's lab and have his black hole generator to suck up the girls.
An alien invasion threatens to destroy Earth within 24 hours, unless they are treated to a nice dinner. Taking the compromise, the Girls go shopping at the supermarket for ingredients, where they split up in three separate misadventures.
Midway Elementary is doing a school play on the Five Food Groups which the director hopes to use to get the attention of a famous playwright from Citiesville. However the children's acting leaves a lot to be desired, to which the director uses a literal "Drama Bomb" to get the kids to act better.
