Maxwell Von Nitrate is a projectionist in "Silent Treatment" who was once a famous silent movie actor, however the invention of talking pictures ruined his career since he had a high and grating voice. Max is voiced by Dee Bradley Baker.
When the Professor takes the girls to the silent movie theater to teach them the history of films, Max hears his voice, kidnaps him and takes him into the film by way of the projector, intending to steal his voice. The girls chase Max throughout the film without their powers until they and the film cops all wind up in the theater. The girls confront Max in the projection room and he explains that he didn't mean to hurt the Professor, so the girls resolve to help him find a new voice.
In the end, Max and the Professor dubbed each other for a new film that revives Max's career.
