The Powerpuff Girls aired on Cartoon Network in the United States from November 18, 1998 to August 27, 2004, with four unaired episodes burnt out on March 25, 2005.
One episode, "See Me, Feel Me, Gnomey", was banned in most countries but aired in some, and was eventually released in the United States through the 2009 Complete Series DVD.
There was also an episode in production titled "Deja View", that was turned into a comic book instead due to budget constraints.
Note that the episodes listed here are in production order rather than airing order.
The premieres listed are the United States premieres.

Season 4[]
The fourth season is the shortest of the series, having only 10 episodes, all of which are 22-minutes.
The reason for the truncation is due to production of "The Powerpuff Girls Movie." Season 4 was cut short to accommodate production.
This is also the last season creator Craig McCracken worked on before leaving to produce "Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends."
Produced in 2000 and 2001, the season aired in the United States from April 20, 2001 to August 9, 2002.

Movie[]
A theatrical feature film, "The Powerpuff Girls Movie", was released in theaters on July 3, 2002.
The film chronicles the origin story of the girls and how they came to be the superheroes they are in the series.
The film also introduced completely new character designs and visual style from what was seen up until then.
The first three episodes of season 5 employ the same style seen in the movie, before shifting into a slightly different style for the remainder of the series.

Season 5[]
The fifth season of the series was produced from 2002 to 2003. It is the first season after the movie, and also the first without any involvement from Craig McCracken. Chris Savino took his place as showrunner.
The first three episodes were produced separately from the rest of the season in 2002, having the same visual style as the movie.
When production resumed in 2003 for the rest of season 5, the series took on a slightly different look used for the remainder of its run.
Season 5 is the longest season, having 30 episodes (including three 22-minute specials and a 44-minute Christmas special). It also took the longest to produce and air.
The season aired from December 6, 2002 to April 9, 2004. Four episodes remained unaired in the United States until 2005.
One of the specials, "See Me, Feel Me, Gnomey" was unaired in the United States, not seeing a release until the Complete Series DVD in 2009.
