"Fuzzy Logic" is the eighth episode of Season 1.

It first aired on Cartoon Network in the United States on December 9, 1998.

Plot[]

Fuzzy Lumpkins, a strange pink hillbilly-like monster obsessed with keeping his property to himself, goes completely insane after a squirrel trespasses his lawn. After following it to Townsville, he goes on a massive rampage when everyone touches the things he drops. It's up to the Powerpuff Girls to stop him, with some help from the squirrel that led Fuzzy to cause the whole mess.

Synopsis[]

On perhaps one of the finest days in Townsville, the Narrator describes the generous and happy people who live there. He then sulks about how some people like to be far away in the forest, away from others. One of these people is Fuzzy Lumpkins, a large husky, bear-like hillbilly monster. This tyrant is seen trying to get a leaf and a butterfly off his property by trying to shoot them with his boomstick. After checking his house to make sure his things are in place, Fuzzy takes a nap and relaxes with his banjo, which he named Jo. After a squirrel walks on his property, Fuzzy chases it into the city and gets enraged after the citizens tried giving him his stuff back.

The Powerpuff Girls are then seen. Bubbles and Buttercup are fighting over Octi. Blossom commands Bubbles to let Buttercup use Octi, despite Bubbles's concerns of what Buttercup will do with Octi. When Buttercup is hitting Bubbles's head with Octi, the Powerpuff Hotline rings. The Mayor tells the girls to come downtown to see the city in ruins as a result of Fuzzy's rampage.

The girls fly downtown to survey the city. They try asking a few witnesses of the attack for information, but they are all too hurt from the situation to give anything more than vague clues about the identity of the wrongdoer. The girls then find a squirrel, who happens to be the same one that entered Fuzzy's property earlier. Using her power to communicate with animals, Bubbles convinces the squirrel to lead the way to Fuzzy's house so that the girls can confront him.

The Powerpuff Girls break into Fuzzy's house after he is briefly seen playing with his banjo Jo. The girls and squirrel implicitly threatened to burn Jo in the fireplace, but instead whacked Fuzzy with it. The episode ends when Fuzzy is seen in prison for the mess he caused. His cellmate takes Jo away from him, with the Narrator saying "How do you like that, Mr. No-Share?".

Trivia[]

  • The line "Hurry, girls. Hurry. You've got to get downtown. It's a mess!" is reused from "Meat Fuzzy Lumkins" - appropriate since Fuzzy is the villain of both that short and this episode.
  • During "The day is saved" narration, when the Powerpuff Girls appear, they look off-model and poorly drawn. This happens again in "Major Competition".
  • This is the first episode to feature Bubbles using her language abilities.

Errors[]

  • Fuzzy’s boot was slipped off after being hit by the truck, but his boot is back on.
  • Fuzzy’s boomstick has one barrel, but when the man gives it back to Fuzzy, it has two barrels.
  • Before Buttercup hits Fuzzy with his banjo, Blossom and Bubbles have no tights/stockings.
  • Shortly after Fuzzy ripped Blossom's shirt with his claws, Blossom's shirt turned back to normal.
