Fourth Wall Breaks are recurring scenes in The Powerpuff Girls when Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup more speaks to the viewers in a seemingly empty room, or the corner of the screen.

(The Mayor turns toward the camera and screams. Zoom in on his open mouth, then pull back on Blossom. We are in the girls’ bedroom again, and she too is screaming.)
Blossom: I CAN’T GET ANY SLEEP!!

(Throughout all of this, the tempo of the cuts has steadily increased. Now they flash by at top speed for several seconds more before finally subsiding - the montage is over. The girls are in bed, but they are too scared to go to sleep. Close-up of Buttercup, panning to her sisters during the next lines; all speak in a very stilted manner.)
Buttercup: Man, I'm beat.
Blossom: Sure am tired.
Bubbles: I can hardly keep my eyes open. (Pull back to frame all three.)
Blossom: Well, then. I guess it's good night.
Buttercup: Sleep tight.
Bubbles: Don't let the bedbugs bite.
(She turns off the bedside lamp. The screen goes black except for three pairs of huge eyes staring at the camera and blinking a time or two. Pan from them to a digital clock whose illuminated readout shows the time as 9:00; a slow dissolve, and it now reads midnight. The quiet is broken by a loud commotion, as of things being tripped over, and the camera pans back to the girls. They keep their voices down on the following lines.)
'Twas the Fight Before Christmas[]
(He breaks into a huge smile and runs toward the stairs. Cut to just outside the lighted living room window; happy chatter is heard from inside, mixed with the sound of wrapping paper being torn off boxes. Pull back slowly to frame the entire house, with all its windows now illuminated, and stop on Santa at the curb. Fully suited up, he looks toward the family and then tips a wink to the camera.)
(A touch of his nose, and the background for the end shot comes up in a flash.)
Neighbor Hood[]
(Pull back to frame the girls; as the Mayor nods, the girls stare at the camera, blank expressions on their faces.)
Girls: (trance-like) Yes...television...all hail the mighty and powerful television...
Nuthin' Special[]
Buttercup shouts "NOOOOOOOOOOOO" to the screen. (Scary, isn't it!)

Mojo Jojo: Evil? How about stupid? Yes! Thanks to your foolishness, we will be reduced to nothing! Nothing—like the amount of intelligence inside your head! Nothing—like the amount of respect I get after six seasons on this show!
