Plot[]

The city of Townsville is having a boring day. So boring not even the The Powerpuff Girls can escape it. They are in their room with Blossom reading a book on their bed, Bubbles drawing flowers on the floor, while Buttercup sits in a bean bag angerly. She complains there is no action in town, but her two sisters appreciate the time off from fighting crime. Bubbles offers to draw with her, but Buttercup yells "That's boring!". At that moment, a loud knock is heard at the door. The girls fly downstairs and Buttercup makes it first, racing through her sisters. They open the door to see a package, supposedly from a friend. Buttercup opens the box to see the gift is a video game. The girls get excited and Buttercup plugs it in. Blossom reads the manual and says the game is Megatown Smasher and in the game you control a monster that destroys a city.

Unbeknownst to them, HIM delivered the package and put a Reality Distorter in the game he created. Therefore, anything they destroy in the game destroys Townsville. HIM watches eagerly as Blossom starts to play. She is a pink lizard monster that has a horn similar to the bow she wears. She smashes cars as the Narrator narrates in horror. Blossom says Buttercup was right about being tired of saving people all the time, and playing this game is a good way to get out their aggression. She goes on to destroy the bank and terrorize the park. Bubbles grabs the controller and says everyone thinks she is sweet and little, but she will show "how hardcore I can be". Her character is a blue two-headed monster and she starts by throwing around cars and people downtown. Her sisters look in shock as she plays, as she is getting a higher score than Blossom. Bubbles destroys the things she hates: the dentist office, the toxic waste dump, and the anchovies factory.

Buttercup grabs the controller and tells the girls to watch how she does it. Her character is a humanoid, green monster and she attacks the kindergarten first. She enjoys herself and says she is going to City Hall next. The Professor yells from his lab that it's way past their lunch time, but the girls say they aren't hungry. As Buttercup approaches City Hall, she complains how The Mayor always tells them what to do. Bubbles comments how he always ruins their fun. Blossom notices there is an option for all of them to play at once and suggests they destroy the City Hall together. The hotline rings, but Blossom ignores it, saying "today we're busy destroying the city!" The Mayor stands at the phone confused when Ms. Bellum barges in to get him outside. Outside city hall, all three monsters are about to attack the building. Ms. Bellum grabs The Mayor and runs off. HIM watches the destruction from his bath with joy and considers spreading the video game all over the world.

Back at the Utonium Residence, The Professor rushes to the girls to see they are memorized by the video game. He tells them there are giant monsters attacking the city. The girls turn to him shocked, and he describes what the monsters have destroyed. Blossom realizes the stuff they have been destroying in the game also is destroying Townsville. She concludes it must be the work of HIM and all three girls destroy the video game and system with their eyebeams. HIM curses at them for destroying the game and says he will beat them someday. Ms. Bellum and The Mayor arrive at the house and he asks why didn't they answer the phone. Blossom tells him while winking at the reader they were busy playing video games.
