The Cosmic Bear is a minor character that debuted in the episode Largo. He is the true form of both Allegro and Largo when merged back into one. He was once struck by lightning that split his character into two separate entities with opposite personalities.
Appearance[]
The Cosmic Bear is a muscular purple bear with a dark blue nose, small ears and simple black eyes (like Largo). His mouth is square and beige in colour and his black eyebrows are touching each other. He also has two marks on his chest, an orange crescent moon on the top of a yellow circle sun. His ears have yellow, star-shaped insides, matching the astronomy theme of his design.
Personality[]
The Cosmic Bear seems to be a nice person, due to Allegro's hedonism being balanced out by Largo's somber nature. He talks in a well-behaved manner and treats his neighbors with kindness and respect. The Cosmic Bear appears to favor privacy, as he never gives a proper explanation of what he really is. The Cosmic Bear never apologizes for the mayhem his separated halves caused, which could either mean his memories were scrambled by the split, or that he may harbor a dark side to his personality.
Biography[]
Cosmic Bear's origin and/or backstory is mostly unknown, since his time on screen is very limited. All that is known is that he lives alone in a far-away parallel world in a small house at the edge of a forest. One day he is struck by lightning from a sudden thunderstorm ("cosmic storm") when leaving his home to fetch the newspaper and mail. The lightning causes Cosmic Bear to get split into two independent characters named Allegro and Largo. Both initially try to live together, but it almost immediately fails: Allegro wants to party nonstop, while Largo prefers solitude and silence. Ticked off, Allegro leaves and throws Townsville into chaos. Largo stays at home and tries to pass time by playing various instruments (which does not go well). After Bubbles manages to re-unite Allegro and Largo, they merge into Cosmic Bear again, who thanks Bubbles, turns everything back to normal and then just leaves.
