The Chief of Police is a minor character that appears in the The Powerpuff Girls (1998) series. He is the head of the Townsville Police Department.
Personality[]
The Chief of Police is a very serious man who takes his job as a police officer seriously. He furiously scolded Mike Brickowski for his incompetence, laziness, and refusal for doing his duty as a police officer, that he was left with no other choice but to fire him. He admired the Powerpuff Girls as Townsville's saviors and apologized to them for Brickowski's crimes.
Like all police, he loves doughnuts.
History[]
In the episode "Cop Out", the Chief of Police arrives at an active robbery and addresses the suspects with a megaphone. He notices Officer Brickowski sleeping in a nearby cruiser on the job and yells through the megaphone at him to wake up, but not happening. Before he can wake him up, however, the dispatcher says over the radio the Powerpuff Girls are coming to the scene. Immediately after, the girls beat up the suspects and the police officers at the scene arrest them. The Chief of Police poses for some pictures, does an interview with a TV reporter, and leaves the scene. Later the same day, he calls Officer Brickowski into his office and furiously scolds him for his incompetence, leaving the Chief with no choice but to decommission him from the Townsville police force.
After Brickowski angrily stormed out, the Chief became suspicious about his behavior and assigned Officer Perez to keep an eye on him. The next day, Perez alerted the chief that he was right about Brickowski, who was planning to destroy the Powerpuff Girls. The Chief of Police, along Perez and many police officers, broke into the warehouse where Brickowski was about to lower the girls into a bath of acid. They arrived before the girls were in it, however, the police officers were unable to stop the crane from lowering them in. The acid dissolved the weight the girls were chained to, but the Powerpuff Girls are immune and unharmed except a few spots where there is mild irritation. After Brickowski is arrested, the Chief of Police apologized to the girls and made sure they were alright.
