- There's a recurring running gag in this episode when the Gnat keeps showing up to confront the Girls, while the Girls keep fighting over Bliss until she loses control of her power.
- This episode reveals the Gnat was mutated by a radioactive microwave and was bitten by a man.
- Bliss wears a spider costume is similar of the Marvel superhero Spider-Man (the Gnat's origins are also a parody of Spider-Man). Earlier, she was holding a costume that resembles of the DC superhero Wonder Woman, and wore a costume similar to Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th.
- This is the fourth time Bubbles cries in the 2016 series, the first three were "Little Octi Lost", "Tiara Trouble" & "People Pleaser".
- The Girls can't remember who the Gnat is, unlike their first encounter in "Musclecup".
- This episode title is vaguely similar to "Twisted Sister", an episode from the original series about the 4th original Powerpuff Girl, Bunny, who fans of the original thought who Bliss was a bad re-hash of.
- Buttercup forcing Bliss listened to heavy metal and in response to this, she commented "If it's too loud, you're too old!" This is a line DJ Ian from the 1994 movie Airheads said.
- The hot dog guy calls Bliss a "Pretty Magical girl-girl", which is a reference to Moon
