<p>Every once in a while, this series puts out an episode that isn't mediocre or awful but is legitimately good. This episode is legitimately good. </p><p>Not only does it have Mojo being a villain again (even if it's brief), it showcases Blossom's love for learning and knowledge without being obnoxious (I'm looking at you, Buttercup vs. Math), it gets pretty emotional at times, it cuts back on throwing ridiculous over-the-top facial expressions and memes at the viewer for no reason (<span style="font-weight:normal;">looking at you <i>again</i>, Buttercup vs. Math), and it has a really heartwarming ending. Plus, David Bowie reference. How can you say no to that?</span> </p><p><span style="font-weight:normal;">After Poorbucks, I didn't think this series could strike gold a second time, but I was wrong.</span> </p>

<p>This was okay, but it felt a little like Uh Oh Dynamo (except in reverse), and the "Jam With the Donut" gag got old almost immediately. </p>

<p>This episode is ridiculous. But it's an enjoyable and fun kind of ridiculous. As someone who loves Scott Pilgrim and Rainbow Rocks, this was right up my alley. It's that typical "deal with the devil"-type story, and in this case, the devil is Him (what a shock). </p><p>The only thing that really took me out of it was Buttercup squeezing her "hands" into fingerless gloves to give herself fingers. Gross. </p>

<p>Yes, there were. There's a scene where the Girls are trapped in Allegro's mirror dimension, but they haven't caught on yet. They hear the real Professor in the bathroom mirror crying over the Girls' apparent disappearance, and they pound on the mirror to try and reach out to him, but he can't hear them. It's kind of heartbreaking.
</p><p>Also, at the end of the episode, when they escape the mirror dimension and reunite with the Professor, Bubbles asks him, "Does this mean we're not in trouble for going on the swing?", and he answers, "No, you're still in a lot of trouble", and the episode just ends there. I thought that was pretty funny. </p>

<p>This is pretty much Painbow again, but without the oversaturation of memes. For that matter, it's even more like Speed Demon than Painbow was. </p><p>The concept of the Girls being trapped in a mirror dimension is interesting, but it raises even more questions about Allegro than before. Of all the new villains the reboot has introduced, Allegro is by far the most frustrating. </p><p>(Even more unfortunately, this episode sees the return of Painbow's twerking joke. It only lasts for about half a second, but it's there, and it's in your face.) </p>

<p>I was beginning to lose faith in this reboot, and then this episode came along. This is a really, REALLY good episode -- possibly my favorite in the series so far, especially after the letdown of Silico. </p><p>After episodes like Hey Arnold!'s "Rhonda Goes Broke", I <i>love</i> the "spoiled rich kid goes broke and becomes humble"-type story, and this episode executes it surprisingly well. Blossom and Princess are really cute together, and even though Princess becomes rich and spoiled again in the end, there's definitely been a shakeup here. Not a big one, but a noticeable one. </p><p>Do I expect future episodes to be as good as this one? Nah. But I'm glad I stuck with this series for this long to see it pay off, even if it's only a little bit and even if it comes near the end of season 1. </p>

How appropriate, then, that it is technically a Teen Titans Go episode -- produced, written, and directed by that show's staff -- and not a joint collaboration between the staff of both shows. </p><p>1/3 of the episode is devoted to "the Powerpuff Girls are babies" jokes, 1/3 to make the Titans look like halfwits compared to the Girls, and the last 1/3 is just "monkeys are awesome, monkeys are awesome, monkeys are awesome". <p>How much I enjoy (or hate) this crossover depends a lot on the nature of the writing. (Considering the animation style, I think this is largely being helmed by the TTG crew.) They could do what the Steven Universe/Uncle Grandpa crossover did and be completely self-aware about it. If that happens, it might be good for a few laughs. Like "Hey, we know this is a dumb concept, but we're going to have some fun with it." </p><p>On the other hand, if it's all played straight, then it could go either way. Will the Girls act just as goofy as the Titans? Or, considering Blossom and Robin's interaction in the promo, will the Girls call the Titans out on their behavior so they'll be taken seriously in spite of their cuteness? </p><p>I don't like Teen Titans Go. The new Powerpuff Girls is very hit or miss. But I really want this to work. I want to enjoy this crossover. Cartoon Network doesn't play around a lot with crossovers, so whenever it happens, it should be something to enjoy, like Ben 10/Generator Rex. It should have effort put into it. I guess we'll see. </p>

<p>This wasn't TOO bad -- at least, not as bad as I was expecting. It has a couple chuckle-worthy jokes, like internet trolls and autocorrect, but it's a little weird that Bubbles is suddenly an advanced programmer. Also, viewers who aren't a fan of the show's use of internet memes will have more to complain about. :P All in all, could've been worse. </p>

<p>I disagree -- I really enjoyed it. Absolutely no offense whatsoever to Tara Strong, but I'm officially sold on Kristen Li as Bubbles. The plot had plenty of laughs, and HIM is as mischievous as ever. </p>

<p>Yeah, what the heck was that about? XD </p><p>In some ways, this was kind of like the original Bubblevicious, with Bubbles trying to prove that she isn't weak and getting carried away. Pretty fun overall, but leaves a few lingering questions: </p>

1. Ignoring the fact that Professor Utonium put a self-destruct function in Bubbles' cast, why didn't Bubbles just take it off before it exploded?
2. How did Pack Rat survive/turn back to normal after the explosion?

<p>I liked the "Legs Luthor" joke though. :P </p>

<p>Hot Air Buffoon this is not. Turns out that when it comes down to it, the Mayor is actually pretty capable of saving the day -- but not in an excessive way. In the end, he's still a lovable oaf. </p><p>New villain Bianca Bikini is a little like Sedusa and Mask Scara with her fashion motif. Kind of fun. </p><p>The video game references throughout the episode are pretty amusing too -- reminded me of Scott Pilgrim. </p><p>It was a little weird/disheartening to see the Powerpuffs de-powered in such a way -- I'm sure they've done more than this while sleepy before -- but it's a minor nitpick. All in all, I liked it. </p>

<p>This was... huh... SOMETHING. The entire thing felt like one big <i>My Little Pony</i> joke, especially with Blossom and Buttercup's back-and-forth about horse terminology. The introduction of all the unicorns at the end was random but a little bit funny with how self-aware it was about its randomness. Bubbles was cute too, and Donny's character made for some laughs here and there. </p><p>You know what this kinda reminded me of? Bubbles' relationship with Cody/Takaaki in the Powerpuff Girls anime -- another situation in which a close friend of Bubbles' is turned into a monster. Weird. :P </p>

<p>This was... weird. The lesson Buttercup learns is nice, and Miss Keane is fun, but most of the gags are strange, and we don't learn anything about new character Allegro. I don't know. Not BAD, but not really memorable either. </p>

<p>I thought this was pretty funny. The <i>Hangover</i> parody got a few laughs out of me, and the narrator was on point. When Mojo was introduced, I half-expected some recycled elements from Slumbering with the Enemy, but it was a decent subversion. It was also pretty neat to see Robin again. </p>

<p>Between this and the first two episodes, this was probably the weakest for me. For many, the "choosing one friend to take to a big event" story is tired and boring, and for this episode in particular, the ending is pretty predictable. </p><p>It does, however, make for some very funny gags: the boy band parody Sensitive Thugz calls to mind Sev'ral Timez from <i>Gravity Falls</i>, and Tom Kenny hasn't missed a beat as the Mayor. I was afraid for the rap battle joke at first, but I'm glad they cut it short when they did. </p><p>Overall, not TOO bad, but again, a cliche story with a predictable ending. </p>

<p>I think this was a stronger episode than Man Up -- the Derbytantes were fun, and I hope they appear again -- though if Man Up felt like the original "Makes Zen to Me", this one may also bring back memories of "Buttercrush" (with a hint of "Stuck Up, Up and Away", and of course without the romance aspect). </p><p>Haley Mancini as Princess is definitely going to be an acquired taste for some; she almost sounds too mature for her size. But I think her character was captured decently in the writing. The monster was the best part of the episode for sure, and even though it's probably only going to be an occasional thing now, the ending narration by Tom Kenny is nostalgic. </p>

<p>This was a really good first episode in my opinion. The story's a little reminiscent of "Makes Zen to Me", but that's one of my favorite episodes, so no biggie. XD The writing is very funny, the characters are all spot-on, and I'm looking forward to more. </p>
