We know what the message of the episode is supposed to be, but it REEEEEALLY doesn't execute it well. It uses what's pretty clearly supposed to be drug shorthand while saying absolutely nothing about drugs or even related to drugs in order to say that "there is a time and a place for being happy," when in fact none of the consequences of ignoring moral this are actually considered -- people run into each other (for no reason), a jail warden lets people out of jail (also no reason), people hug each other (because... happy?) and Professor does nothing but run through a sprinkler instead of "doing science," but we never get a real explanation for why this is a bad thing. For all we know, Professor Utonium could be nearly retired, or be doing nothing with this "science" whatsoever, other than creating the Powerpuff Girls. And then the twerking... I really don't see how the writers or the animators could put that in without knowing exactly what they were doing. And where were the censors when this was being made!? Is it just the honor system, at this point? And why aren't the girls affected by Allegro's powers? They could have explained it by using Allegro making a casual aside in saying, "oops! Your powers are too strong!" And yet, they don't even make the effort to explain anything about it!

Most of its flaws either come from lazy writing, lazy animation, lazy censors, or talking down to children instead of levelling with them like the first series tried so hard to do. It really is time to stop.
