With the new Powerpuff Girls cartoon confirmed (and with Craig McCracken this time!), I am excited and have a bunch of hopes, wants, and expectations for this second reboot!

• Firstly, one part about the original show that needs to come back is the action! The last two seasons of the original AND the 2016 reboot hideously dumbed down the fighting and action of the franchise because liberals and certain adults call “violent”. Well forget what people like that think! Action and Fighting is an essential part to all Superhero/Action themed stories! And I know fans of the Powerpuff loved the fights in the show! It needs to be brought and kept!

• Bring back as many of the original voice actors as they can, or at the very least bring back Cathy Cavadini, Tara Strong, and E.G. Daily to play the girls again! Other voices I would love to hear come back if possible are Jennifer Martin (Miss Bellum), Jennifer Hale (Princess,Miss Keane and Sedusa), Tom Kane (HIM), Jeff Bennet (, Tom Kenny (The Narrator, The Mayor, etc), Rob Paulsen (Brick and Boomer), Roger L. Jackson (Mojo and Butch) and anyone else who can come back.

• Remove everything from the 2016 reboot. Including the middle school (bring back Pokey Oaks undestroyed and either put the girls back in Kindergarten or maybe 1st grade) any new characters (Donny, Jared Shapiro, any of the new villains, etc) and have no continuity from the this horrible reboot whatsoever

• After they only appear in one episode of the reboot, have the Rowdyruff Boys appear as regular characters again. All shipping aside, I also think that with the right kind of writing, the Rowdyruffs could be capable of redemption! Having a full well-written redemption arc of one villain (or this case a team) could be interesting to show that even in Powerpuff Girls some villains (but not all!) can change (and I’ve seen a lot of cool fanfiction stories about this ideas!) And I feel a lot of shows have at least one good redemption arc (Steven Universe before they overdid it had Peridot, Avatar had Zuko, ReBoot had Hexadecimal, She-Ra had Scorpia, etc)

• Keep the characters’ personalities from the original show for the most part, but small changes might be ok. For example making Buttercup more apologetic then she was in the past would be nice (especially after she hesitated to All Chalked Up just because she thinks it isn’t tough). Making Blossom a bit more humble would be alright too (never liked her as a bossy control freak). And any flanderization from the reboot be all removed. So while I prefer to keep the characters’ original personalities, small changes could work if done right.

• Villains who didn’t appear in the reboot return, including Sedusa and Femme Fatale! I feel it would be interesting to expand on Sedusa’s master of disguise skills (for example she can pull off disguising as a man as much as a woman!)

• Make new characters that actually feel like they belong in the Powerpuff franchise. There are way we can add new and possibly woke characters to the franchise! For example they can give Ms. Keane an aid who help her around Pokey Oaks. This aid could possibly be a person of color and/or gender nonconforming (though I imagine a aid female). Possible new characters of color or lgbtq+ identities could be a way to be more diverse, especially if they are new allies to the girls, supporting characters, or maybe even new villains. If done right, they don’t have to be just brownie points!

• Along with adding new characters like mentioned above, I would also especially like to see new female villains in the show since there was so little in both the original and the reboot. Adding the Powerpunk Girls from the comics sounds like a first idea!

• This is the most important change that has to be done no matter what! Bring Back Miss Sara Bellum! We shouldn’t care if Nick Jennings says she’s offensive and removing was a “good call” in his opinion, he’s an idiot! Miss Bellum is NOT OFFENSIVE! When you get over her looks, you can see how much of an important role model she was! She was smart and was one of the only characters who had common sense during situations where no other characters did (not even Professor Utonium or the girls on occasion). She helped on so many important occasions such as when she helped the Powerpuffs defeat the Rowdyruff boys, to teaching them along with Ms. Keane what real feminism means and break them out of Femme Fatale’s influence, to actually fighting Sedusa after she impersonated her! We have barely had any new characters with common sense nowadays (or at least not ones who get completely ignored, flanderized into naggers, or treated as the butts of jokes). I mean if we need to give her design some adjustments maybe there are ways to make that work and still keep her attractive (for example widen her hips to a realistic size, maybe give her a dress jacket). Removing Miss Bellum was one of worst changes the 2016 reboot ever made, so I especially want to see her return in this new show.

So this is everything so far I hope for the new Powerpuff Girls revival, I may add more later. If anyone else has hopes or ideas, please share them
