The cringey memes? How trendy it attempts to be? It's stereotyping of transgender people (Donny.)? How it isolates the girls' personalities also to stereotypes (Blossom was not a neat freak in the original series, Buttercup had a sense of honor and nobility in the original series whereas her '16 self doesn't, and Bubbles was not one of those "OMG! LOL!" girls in the original series. She was energetic, yes, but she was rather sensitive.)?

Also, the new villains suck. Plain and simple. Allegro, Man-Boy, the Fashionistas, I could care less. They're basically the series' equivalent to the terrible Spider-Man villains introduced in Brand New Day back in 2008. The only villain I found to be somewhat interesting was, big surprise, Silico, who, if I had to compare to another BND villain, would basically be the equivalent to Mr. Negative. But then they introduced his awful origin story and I completely forgot about him. The new show barely has any of the original villains. I get that that's the case for the Amoeba Boys because Chuck McCann is dead, but other than him, everyone else is still alive and going. The only OG villains that they've bothered to use are Mojo, Princess, and HIM. All other classics that have been seen were relegated to cameo appearances.

Since when did it try to be trendy?! (This is why I asked for examples) Memes yeah sure the No Me Gusta face but what else...? And since when was Donny trans? And this is set 4 years after the original of course they are a little different and in PPG:R! and the 12 issue IDW run we start to see their change. And Oh No! 3 of the new bad guys kinda stink! Man Boy and Alegro each had 3 episodes that had them as main bad guys out of 100+ episodes! And it was so clear Silico was not telling the truth about his backstory! And they didn't forget about him he showed up several times after that! And once again if you read the IDW 12 issue run you would know that Sedusa, Fuzzy, The Gangreen Gang, and Princess ended up feeling bad about their crimes and that is why Princess is more redeemable, Fuzzy is never seen committing a crime, Sedusa has not been seen at all, and the GGG have done very little evil. The Amoeba Boys did appear actually. So who are you missing? The Cat? The fake Movie guy? Because the Gnome died. Stop looking at this threw nostalgia Glasses look at it as the sequel it clearly is.
Where are you getting your information from? How do you know that the series is set 4 years after the original series ended? Aside from the fact that the girls go to elementary school now, there is nothing, nothing, NOTHING in-universe or from an executive spokesperson that corroborates this.

And also, memes ARE trendy. That's the trend I was referring to. And Donny is a metaphor for transgender based on his desire to be something he's physically not. Watch The Last Donnycorn and you'll see why.

Your argument about the villains is also weak. Even if that's the case... THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE DONE THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S A STUPID PLOT POINT TO BEGIN WITH!!!!! Get rid of the old villains just to make way for a woman and her pet gorilla wearing makeup, a poster child (literally.) for masculinity, and twerking, party-obsessed panda.

And stop treating this as a sequel because it isn't. Never was intended to to begin with. I'd like you to point out an article that says otherwise, because I'm not looking at it through nostalgia glasses. I'm looking at it BASED ON THE EVIDENCE RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY OWN EYES. And, again, if there was an article corroborating that it was a sequel or a statement from a spokesperson or employee working on the show, it wouldn't matter my feelings towards the show, I'd accept that it's a sequel and that there IS continuity between the shows. Albeit, a BAD sequel in my eyes and one of those sequels that COMPLETELY one-ups the original in EVERY step of the way. But, that's besides the point...

Look, bottom line, the 2016 series is NOT connected AT ALL, in ANY WAY, shape OR form, to the original series. It's a clear-cut reboot through and through, and unless you can find evidence proving otherwise, your argument is COMPLETELY MOOT. I don't know why you feel the need to go and preech it because it isn't true and there is VERIFIABLE evidence to back it up. Not a whole lot, but certainly enough, I find, to prove an arguable point.

And even if it were a sequel... who cares? Most people I know and talk to about the show think it's terrible, anyways. It's probably not gonna last very long to begin with. I'll be GENEROUS and say MAYBE we get to 2021 and then it dies off. And not from quality, which I will admit to seeing a SLIGHT increase during the second Season that was SOMEHOW maintained during the third Season, but rather from it getting stale. The same kinda thing regurgitated. And granted, you can say the original series was like that, too, but at least the QUALITY of the original series wasn't, y'know... GARBAGE?

Stop looking at the evidence you want to see and start looking at all of it. I am sick and tired of people like you who sit on their bums all day and say stupid things without thinking. I found the information that was hidden by people who do not like it and do not want it found out. If I am smart enough you probably are to. I am not going state the blatantly obvious to people like you just cause you can not think. I have better things to do with time: Laying in bed trying to get over cold.
