<p>Title: Power of Four
</p><p>Synopsis: The city of Townsville is protected by three super-cute yet super-fierce little girls, Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup, aka The Powerpuff Girls! The arrival of a new stranger to their little town is causing quite a stir. Who is this mystery person? Where does this stranger come from? One thing is for sure … Professor Utonium has a lot of explaining to do!

<p>LOL that's exactly what I was thinking, I just didn't think of how to word it. Totally classic HIM. They completey and consistently adapeted and stayed true to this character. I could easily believe he was the original. Wish I could say the same for most others. Actually, now that I think about HIM's a pretty versitile semi-omnipotent character. Maybe he has the power to travel to different dimensions and this is the original. The nature of his appearances have been pretty mysterious, just as it was in the original show. </p><p>Dang, Cartoon Network is kind of nailing these hour specials as of recent. What, with "Night Begins to Shine" and now this?

<p>No, I meant I know he's not the same HIM as the 98 series. I mentioned your name because I thought you'd get mad and think I was confusing incarnations again, so I just wanted to let you know that I'm not.. But then I edited my comment and proposed a theory. Just a thought though.

<p>I have found it on Wikipedia and I am not confirming the episode happening, but we might know soon. Bliss might official join or just be a recurring character just like Donny and The Derbytantes.

<p>I DID-the girl's GREATES WEAKNESS-FLY PAPER! </p><p>On the subject of this special, while it WAS good and the girls were in rare form, the writing is STILL full of those confusing plot holes where the girls don't use their heat vision ore energy constructs. Honestly Bliss is the only one to have an excuse for not going full power all the time, because her emotions cause explosions Raven style! My head-canon is that when the girls were born, their powers were just as unstable as Bliss, so Professor Utonium put like, dampening chips on them for their own safety. And then the girls will find out, and it'd be BLOSSOM who wouldn't be able to forgive him, as when the chip starts working she realizes she's SMARTER, or something like that. MAN I wanna write for this show-I GOTS IDEAS CARTOON NETWORK! </p>

<p>The Professor annoyed me to no end in this episode. And I blame the awful writing on it. You can see what they were going for - overprotective father who regained something he once lost and now is going overboard to not lose it again - but the writing was so bad it made it seem like he was just blind and ignorant to the blatantly obvious in front of him. It was atrocious and it brought down the whole episode for me a lot more than it deserved to. </p><p>And the writing is also a problem at the beginning where they try to untangle the convoluted backstory, and with the pacing of the entire special. It doesn't feel very tight. </p><p>It's a shame, because I honestly feel like parts of this special are the best content this reboot has put out so far, and yet it cannot get out of its own way still. </p><p>And don't even get me started with the ending. I seriously wish the show had kept Bliss on full time, because then <i>at the very least</i> this reboot would finally have something significant that differentiates itself from its predecessor. </p>
